EB-1C "Greencard"

The EB-1C petition is a type of employment-based immigration petition that allows multinational executives and senior managers to obtain permanent residence or a "green card" in the United States. The EB-1C is a highly sought-after category due to its relatively short processing times and lack of requirement for a labor certification.

Qualifications

To qualify for this visa, the applicant must have been employed by a qualifying foreign company for at least one year in the three prior to the application and must be coming to the United States to work for related U.S. company in a managerial or executive capacity. The U.S. company must have been in operation for at least one year and must in a qualifying relationship with the foreign company such as, being an affiliate, or having a parent-subsidiary relationship. Additionally, the applicant must demonstrate that they have the skills and experience to perform the job duties in the United.

Did you know...

You do not need to have an L-1A to qualify for the EB-1C? Often, other professionals indicate that the L-1A "leads to a Greencard", but the reality of it is that the EB-1C is a standalone application. One can qualify for an EB-1C without ever having an L-1A. This means, if someone was in a different category like an E-1 or E-2 visa, and wanted to apply for an EB-1C because they qualify, they can!
